Padel is having a moment: 5 hotels to add to your list
Padel has become hugely popular and you can now find courts at some pretty impressive hotels around the world.
For families with teenagers and older kids, I think it’s a great addition to a holiday. They can get out and play, have a bit of a competition with their siblings and you still have all the other things you want from the holiday.
Here are five hotels worth knowing about:
Vakkaru Maldives
You might not think of the Maldives and padel but Vakkaru has a professional grade padel court, with equipment, group sessions and one-to-one coaching available. And when you're not playing, there’s the small matter of being in the Maldives!
Kimpton Los Monteros, Marbella
Kimpton Los Monteros has its own Racket Club, with padel and tennis courts, plus court hire and personal training. A great option if you want a Marbella holiday with plenty to do beyond the beach and pool.
Fairmont Royal Palm, Marrakech
The Royal Palm Tennis & Padel Academy has two modern padel courts, with coaching available. So you can combine a few games on court with Marrakech, the pool and everything else the resort has to offer.
Gleneagles, Scotland
Padel isn't just for sunny holidays. Gleneagles has three indoor courts, including a singles academy court, with coaching available year-round. One for a UK break when you don't want to rely on the weather.
Tivoli La Caleta, Tenerife
Tivoli La Caleta has an official World Padel Tour court, with private coaching available. Add in Tenerife's year-round sunshine, pools, the coast and plenty to do nearby, and it’s a good option for families who want some sport alongside their holiday.
None of these are padel holidays. The padel is just an added bonus- something to do between the pool, beach and exploring, if the teenagers fancy it.
And let's be honest, getting them off their phones for an hour isn't a bad thing! Looking for a holiday that works for teenagers? Drop me a message.
